Speaking at Activium Connect

Last week (October 30), I had the privilege of taking the stage at Activium Connect in Renswoude. The theme of the day—"Connecting to a future-proof information system"—couldn't have been more relevant.

As businesses everywhere scramble to understand Artificial Intelligence, I was invited to cut through the noise and share Phoca’s pragmatic vision on AI during my session: "Start Small, Think Big."

The Core Message: Create Value, Not Just Code

During the session, I moved away from abstract futuristic talk and focused on the "now." Many organizations are paralyzed by the sheer possibilities of AI. My message to the audience was simple: don't try to change everything at once. Find one bottleneck, and solve it intelligently.

I shared insights on how to look at AI through a business lens (the "MBA lens"):

  • Identify the waste: Where are your people losing time on repetitive tasks?

  • Start small: Build a specific agent or automation that solves that problem today.

  • Think big: Once the foundation is laid, scale that logic across the organization.

Walking the Talk: Our Results with Activium

What made this session extra special is that Activium isn't just a host; they are a partner. We are actively working with them to revolutionize their own support process, and I could share the hard data behind our "Start Small" approach.

We implemented an AI agent to handle the initial triage of support tickets. The results speak for themselves: we’ve cut the first response time by 95% and are saving their team an average of 30 minutes per ticket.

Instead of chasing hype, we solved a specific problem. Now, their experts receive fully clarified cases and can focus purely on solving complex issues rather than administrative sorting.

Thank You

A big thank you to the team at Activium for organizing such a valuable event and for the platform to share our passion for automation. It was inspiring to speak with so many forward-thinking entrepreneurs during the break-out sessions.

The future of business isn't just about having AI; it's about using it to create genuine value. And as the numbers show, that future is already here.
